Update

Hey my friends.  I know its been a while since I have posted, but life took a little detour for a while and I'm on a new journey.  Last year I joined Fun Stampers Journey and I decided I needed to step down from my design teams for a while.  I enjoyed every minute of being on Sherri Baldy's My Besties teams but I needed a break.  So for now I'm enjoying creating cards using Fun Stampers Journey.  I have another blog dedicated to that journey, but haven't been very active in posting my creations there yet.  I need to settle down and get with it and post more.  So that is my goal for now.  Thank each and everyone of you who have followed me and I hope that you will follow me on my other blog.

Love and blessings to all and enjoy the Journey wherever you might be.

August 1, 2016 - My Besties International DT Challenge - Anything Goes

Good Monday morning everyone.  Wow can you believe another month has just flown by?  I can remember my Mother telling me the older you get, the faster time flies.  Well I am beginning to honestly believe this.  LOL

This month  our  DT challenge is Anything Goes.  Well it being hot and summer, it kinda reminded me of county fairs and picnics, so I chose this cutie image from Sherri Baldy's etsy shop.  You can get her by clicking HERE

I just love this image and she reminds me so much of me when I was a child, well even of me now, 'cause I am a pickle girl.  LOL  Yep give me a jar of pickles or some lemons and I am a very happy camper.

I colored her using Tim Holtz Distressed Inks.  Paper was from my stash (trying to hard to use what I have on had, 'cause it is crazy to keep buying papers when I have so much on had already.  I am trying really really hard to chose my papers first and then color my image.  So far so good and I hope I start making a dent in my papers soon.  LOL

Most of you who know me well, know that I rarely do a card without those beautiful flowers, but this card just didn't seen appropriate for the flowers.  I did use a lovely die that came from Memory Box.  The sentiment was something I typed and layered.  Thought it was very appropriate for the card.

Please visit the My Besties International DT Challenge and see all the wonderful creations from our DT and also possibly join us in our challenge.  You can do that by clicking HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog this month.  I will have another post up later today for another one of Sherri's DT's I am on.  So please come back and see that post.  And as always I truly appreciate any and all comments made.

Happy Stamping and blessings to all,
Pat

July 1, 2016 - Christmas in July

Welcome to our Aussie Design Team Challenge - Christmas in July.

Yep its July and a lot of folks seem to love to have Christmas in July and we certainly are no different.  LOL   I love coloring Christmas Images.  As you will see, I also love to be different.  LOL

The image I chose to use this month is IMG 898 and you can find it in Sherri Baldy's Etsy Shop by clicking HERE

Here is my take of our challenge.

See, I told you I was heading in a different direction.  I love purples aqua, and green together and I found some paper that had snowflakes on those colors, and I said to myself, these are the colors I'm using.

I used Copics to color.  The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch.

If you get a chance take a few minutes to head to our Aussie Blog and see all the other designs our team made.  And we would love you to join us in our monthly challenge.  You can find us on our blog by clicking HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy Stamping and Blessing to all.

June 1, 2016 - Aussie Challenge - Anything Goes and Die Cuts

Welcome to the Aussie Design Team Challenge for June - Anything Goes and Die Cuts.  Don'tcha just love that.  I love dies and I'm kinda thinking that all of you do too.  :-)

The image I used this time is IMG 091 from Sherri Baldy's Etsy Shop and you can find the image by clicking HERE

Here is my card for the month.

I'm not sure what of the name of this design, but I was searching for some folded cards and found one similar so I did a few changes and this is what I came up with.  I will tell you right now, this is a lot of cutting for a card.  LOL   But oh so worth it.    I absolutely love this little girl.....she reminds me of a Flapper.    I used copics to color and the dies/punches are the side borders are from a Martha Stewart punch.  The heart banner is from LaLa Land.    The pearl lace is from JoAnns I believe.

Here is a side view of the card.

It folds down flat for mailing, which makes it a great card to make.  It can stand up on its own.

I hope you like it.

Would love for you to visit our blog and see some of the other designs made for by our DT members.

Happy stamping and blessings to all,
Pat

July 1, 2016 - Anything Goes or Alternative All About Fantasy/Fairytales

Welcome to our July Challenge with the My Besties International Design Team.  Once again we have a them and then an alternative.  I chose Anything Goes.

My design this month is a very special one, as I have this planned as a surprised for some friends.  I wanted to be a little out of the box.  Well I guess I literally did that.  LOL    The image I used for this is IMG 359 and you can find this sweet digi in Sherri Baldy's Etsy Shop by clicking HERE

Here is my project for this month.

I love that this can be more than a card and is so useful and hold tons of memories.  This is called a Scrapbook In A Box.  It is beautiful sitting on a coffee table, a night stand, well just anywhere.  But when you take the lid off.  Oh my.  Let me show you.

This is a photo of the box opened.  The lid is standing behind it.  Each one of these flaps hold photos of your choice.  You can make your box a theme or just random photos.  The first one I ever made was for People, Places and Things that I love.  It was a duke mixture of all kind of photos.  I made another one that was a Christmas Theme and I made a couple to give to my dear friend Sherri so she could put photos of her new grandbabies in them.  I have also made a couple for wedding photos and gave to the new couple.  So see they can be used for so many things and people just love them.  So you might want to give it a try.

I love pinks and greens together and I'm sure that's why I chose those colors for my wedding 51 years ago.

Again I used paper and ribbon that I had on hand.  The butterflys are from a Martha Stewart Punch.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the dies I used are awesome stitched dies from Fun Stampers Journey.

We would love for you to come join us in our monthly challenge.  If you can't do that, then take a few minutes and visit our blog and see all the designs of our Design Team.  You can find us on our blog by clicking HERE

Thank you for stopping by.  If you will please leave your comments.  I so appreciate them all.

Happy Stamping and Blessings to All,
Pat

June 1, 2016 - Anything Goes or All About Flowers

Welcome to our June Challenge - Anything Goes or an Alternative Theme of All About Flowers.  This time I chose Anything Goes but I used a digi image called Flower Girl with Hat.  This is a favorite of mine.  Well what can I say, every image is a favorite of mine.  LOL

You can find this image in Sherri's Etsy Shop by clicking HERE

Here is my take on our challenge

Loved coloring this sweet image.  I used paper that I had in my paper stash.  Are you like me?  I really do need to use some of my paper for sure.  She is colored with Copics.

I hope you will take the time to visit our blog and leave some love for all the DT Members creations.  And while you are there why don't you join us for our monthly challenge.  You can find our blog by clicking HERE

Thank you for dropping by.  I really appreciate it.  Have a wonderful month and sending you stamping hugs and blessings.

May 1, 2016 - My Besties Aussie Challenge - Anything Goes using Handmade Flowers

May 1, 2016

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog.  Today is the start of the new challenge on our Aussie blog and you can join us or just check out the creations of our DT by clicking HERE

I chose a "Fluffy" image this time.  Sherri has created  a new line of digis called her "Fluffy" Besties.  I for one am so excited to see them as there is finally  something out there for those of us that are a little "Fluffy".  LOL  I hope you like her as much as I do.

Isn't she the cutest???  I went with one of my favorite color combos, pink and green.  Those were the colors I used in my wedding so many many years ago, maybe a little softer, but still in the same color family.  She is colored with Copics and once again enhanced by using colored pencils over the copics to enhance the shading.  Paper was some I had on hand.  Two flowers were hand made by cutting a long strip, and folding while winding.  The other was a punch and I just punched several out and then layered and curled the edges.

You can find this sweet image along with many many more in Sherri's Etsy shop by clicking HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.  Please if you will leave comments.  They are so appreciated.

Hugs and Blessing,
Pat
